My time at AMBI exceeded all my expectations and a lot of that had to do with the incredible staff.
The AMBI Massage Therapy program is 20 hours per week of on-campus training and 5 hours per week of online training. Altogether, the program is made up of seven, 100-hour courses which gives you a total of 700 hours of training. The program is taught in a linear, logical, and orderly fashion; students progress through each step of the program once they demonstrate competency in a course.
Training can, and should, fit around your life. When you enroll at AMBI, you can choose between three different schedules:
- Day classes, Monday through Thursday from 9:15am – 3:00pm, or
- Evening/weekend classes, Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00pm – 10:30pm, and Saturday from 9:00am – 6:00pm, or
- Part Time weekend class meets every other Friday from 6:00pm – 10:30pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am – 6:00pm
The day and evening/weekend classes are approximately 28-30 weeks and the part time weekend class takes approximately 13 months to complete, depending on holiday schedules during the time of year you start.
New classes start as often as every six weeks!
Get Prepared for the MBLEx State Licensing Exam
Anyone wishing to practice massage must first be licensed by the state. During your training at AMBI, you will receive help with preparation for the MBLEx state licensing exam, offered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). Go into the exam feeling confident and prepared after taking 5 practice MBLEx exams before completing the program.
